Project Genesis was a top-secret division of Project Freelancer, the goal of which was to create an army of clones of top Freelancers. DNA is known to have been taken from Agents Carolina, York, Maine, Wyoming, and Washington, but Washington is the only one so far confirmed to have been cloned.
Cloning Washington[]
While not much is known of the actual cloning process used to generate the Genesis units, what is known is that Agent Washington is the only agent known to have undergone this procedure. In an unrelated incident, the original Agent Washington was found dead inside an Armageddon facility dedicated to biological warfare research.
It is known that several copies of the Epsilon unit were made and distributed randomly among the Washington units, presumably to measure the responses and reactions of the different genetically-identical individuals.
